Welcome to our team page! We are the Basal Gang, a group of researchers from Western University interested in understanding and improving life with Parkinson’s disease.

Our research focuses on mobility, and how music/auditory cues can support walking, but what really inspires us is the chance to connect with participants, hear their stories, and learn about their day-to-day lives. These connections remind us why this work matters.

Each day, people living with Parkinson’s face different challenges, and support is more important than ever. That’s why we’re happy to walk alongside the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario (PSSO), a great organization that offers programs, services, advocacy, and research support to more than 10,000 people in our region.
