The Parkinson’s Society of Southwestern Ontario has scheduled their walk again this year on Sept. 6th at Rotary Cove . The Walk for Parkinson's is the single largest fundraiser we have for the year, with the money going to fund research through the movement disorder clinic at University Hospital  in London.  The money is also used to provide funding programs and research for local Parkinson’s support groups and their members. Presently there is no cure for Parkinson’s and there is no government funding to help in the research. It is estimated there are over 10,000 people in Southwestern Ontario affected by this disease. Your support is appreciated. You are welcome to come for the walk and enjoy the Lake Huron view plus a little snack after.
