Join Me for the Parkinson’s Walk – September 6, 2025

As many of you know, after seven years of ongoing complications from my hip replacements, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in March 2024. Despite being a nurse, I missed the signs — as did my care team — a reminder of just how subtle and easily missed the symptoms can be.

This year, my family and I are taking part in the Goderich Walk for Parkinson’s. It’s a 5 km walk. I’ll be walking just 0.5 km with crutches, and the rest will be completed by my wonderful children — and my grandchildren, one of whom will be pushing me in my wheelchair.
